Our trip to the Haus der Geschichte and the Pie Me Café

On the last day before fall break our class 9b we went to Bonn to the “Haus der Geschichte” by train and bus. We arrived there at 8:45 am. But the museum opens at 9:00 am so we had to wait. After we entered, we split into two groups and each of them got a guide. The museum has an exhibition about the years after World War II until now. When we finished the tour, we did a rally through the whole museum in little groups in which we answered questions
about the history of Germany. After the rally some of us went to the café in the “Haus der Geschichte”.
Then it was 11:30 am and we went to the “Pie Me Café” in Endenich for lunch by train and bus. It is an Australian Café and we met up with the owner who gave us our food. The owner lived in Australia before he moved to Germany. It was very nice that we could ask him many
questions about life in Australia and the difference to Germany.
When all of us were finished eating our food, we could go shopping or do whatever we wanted to do.
