Mysterious man
Hallo! Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Hello! My name is Nathan Hawker. I am a twenty year old student from Watford, which is a town just outside London. I lived there with my parents and my younger brother and sister until I was 18, and went to Watford Grammar School for Boys. Some small pieces of information about me: I am an Aquarius, I am 6 foot 7 (2 metres) tall.
Aha, du sprichst Englisch und verstehst sehr gut Deutsch: Was machst du eigentlich in Deutschland?
For the past two years I have been studying History and German at University College, London, and this year I have come to Oberpleis on my year abroad as an assistant teacher to teach English at Gymnasium am Oelberg.
I have, however, been studying german for 9 years, so I was keen to take the opportunity to live in Germany for a year, not just to improve my German, but also to experience life in another country and culture.
Was gefällt dir an Deutschland?
I can say that, while I have had to get used to the very early starts in the mornings, I have enjoyed my start in Germany, and I am particularly looking forward to the Christmas markets and of course Karneval.
I am an avid football fan, and I go and watch my favourite team Arsenal as often as I can. Personally, I play cricket and golf as well.
Was ist dein Lieblingsessen?
My favourite meal would be a traditional English roast dinner.
Thank you, I'm excited to be here at Gymnasium am Oelberg, and I am looking forward to the coming year!
